MMR Real Estate Update: Q1 2024 Highlights
The Mumbai Metropolitan Region (MMR), encompassing the bustling Mumbai real estate market, recorded an impressive 60,719 residential transactions totaling ₹54,239 crore in Q1 2024. Micro-markets such as Virar West, Ulwe, Kandivali West, and Badlapur East collectively reported around 5,000 transactions valued over ₹2,400 crore.
Affordable housing dominated the market, with properties priced below ₹50 lakh accounting for 51% of transactions. Thane, Dombivali, Mira Road, Virar, Ulwe, and Kandivali emerged as top choices for homebuyers, according to Maharashtra government data analyzed by Square Yards.
Comparatively, in Q4 FY24, the region saw 46,638 property registrations worth ₹39,170 crore, highlighting the steady growth in MMR's real estate sector.
